WCAG 2.2 AA · Web accessibility
Your online store is turning away customers who want to buy.
Unlabelled checkout fields, buttons a screen reader announces as nothing, text too faint to read. We find every barrier on your store, explain each one in plain English, and fix them for a fixed price.
The audit is free and there is no catch. You get the full report whether or not you hire us. If you want the fixes done, that is when we quote.
This is no longer a niche concern
Accessibility moved from good practice to legal requirement, and the businesses being targeted are not the large ones.
And in Europe, the deadline has already passed
The European Accessibility Act became enforceable on 28 June 2025. It applies to e-commerce sold into the EU, and its technical baseline points at WCAG 2.1 AA. Penalties for smaller businesses typically fall between €5,000 and €40,000, with higher ceilings in several member states.
The commercial case is simpler than the legal one. An unlabelled checkout field does not just create exposure. It loses the sale.
How it works
Four steps. You are not asked to commit to anything until step three.
-
We audit your store, free
We crawl your site and test it against WCAG 2.2 AA using axe-core, the same engine inside most commercial accessibility tooling. Nothing is required from you and there is no account to create.
-
You get the full report, free
Every issue ranked by severity, which page it is on, who it affects, why it matters commercially and how to fix it. Written for the person who signs things off, not only for developers. Yours to keep either way.
-
We quote a fixed price
One number, agreed before any work starts, covering the issues in your report. Fixed means fixed. No hourly billing and no estimate that grows.
-
We fix it and prove it
We work in your codebase, or hand your own developer the exact change set to apply, whichever suits you. Then we re-run the audit and send you the before and after.
Pricing
Fixed price per project, quoted from your report. No retainers, no subscriptions, nothing to cancel.
Typical small store, quoted after the free audit
- Full WCAG 2.2 AA audit across your site
- Written report you can hand to anyone
- Every issue in the report fixed
- Work done in your codebase or handed to your developer
- Re-audit afterwards, with before and after
- Accessibility statement drafted for your site
Larger sites cost more, and we tell you before you commit. The quote is calculated from what the audit actually found, so a store with 200 issues is not priced like one with 20. You see the number before agreeing to anything.
What we will not tell you
Two things you should hear from us before you hear them from someone selling you something worse.
Automated testing does not find everything
It reliably catches somewhere between 30% and 40% of WCAG success criteria. It cannot judge whether your alt text is meaningful, whether your focus order makes sense, or whether a real person using a screen reader can complete a purchase. It catches the third that complainants find first, because those failures can be demonstrated from a screenshot. A clean automated result is a necessary step, not proof of conformance, and every report we produce says so on its face.
We do not sell overlays
Accessibility overlay widgets promise instant compliance from one line of JavaScript. They do not deliver it. They are widely disliked by disabled users, and they increasingly appear in litigation rather than preventing it. We fix the underlying markup instead, because that is the only thing that actually works.
Questions
- Is the audit really free?
- Yes. You get the complete report with no obligation and nothing to sign up for. We make money fixing things, not producing documents.
- Do you need access to our code?
- Not for the audit, which uses only your public pages. For the fixes, either we work in your repository or we hand your developer an exact change set. Your call.
- Which platforms do you work with?
- Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, custom builds, and most things in between. The audit is platform-independent because it tests the pages your customers actually receive.
- How long does it take?
- The audit is same-day. Remediation on a typical small store is a few days once we have access or agreement on the change set.
- Will this guarantee we do not get sued?
- No, and be careful of anyone who says otherwise. What it does is remove the failures that are easiest to identify and demonstrate, and give you documented evidence of the work, which is a materially better position than doing nothing.
- Where are you based?
- South Africa, working with clients in the United States, Europe and locally. Everything is done remotely.
