What does this check?
The checker counts images in the public Shopify product feed and checks whether their alt text is empty. It checks up to 5,000 products and labels limited results. When the feed omits alt text, we check public product details for up to 50 products. Images whose alt text remains unavailable are reported as unknown, not missing.
Why add product image alt text?
Alt text describes meaningful image content for people who cannot see it. Describe the product and relevant visual details naturally. A non-empty description still needs human review for accuracy; this check does not assess description quality or full accessibility.
My store is password-protected. Can I use Velora?
