Velora for Shopify ยท Help
Review product image alt text in Shopify.
Find missing descriptions, review image-based drafts and keep a way back after every approved change.
Get started in five steps
- Open Velora from Shopify admin and choose Image cleanup.
- Browse your product images and select up to 10 images. Load more pages to work through your catalog.
- Generate drafts and compare each description with its image. Correct mistakes and remove claims you cannot verify.
- On Pro, select the reviewed descriptions you want to apply and confirm the update.
- Open History & undo to check previous text, export CSV or restore a saved description.
What makes useful alt text?
Describe the relevant visual information concisely. Include details a shopper needs to understand the image, without repeating a list of search keywords. Check the actual image even when the product title sounds specific: AI drafts can get details wrong.
Does Velora replace descriptions automatically?
No. Generating a draft does not change Shopify. You review, select and confirm writes. Existing descriptions can be replaced when you approve an update for that image.
How much does it cost?
Free includes five image drafts per store. Pro is $9 USD every 30 days and includes 250 image drafts per UTC calendar month, approved updates and saved change history. Unused drafts do not roll over. No usage overcharges apply. Compare the plans.
What happens when I use all my drafts?
New image-based drafting pauses until the next allowance is available. On Pro, manual editing and approved writes remain available. Reusing a saved draft does not use another credit.
How do I undo a change?
Open History & undo and choose the saved change. Velora checks the current description before restoring the previous one. If another edit has happened since, review the current value instead of overwriting it. The latest 200 changes are retained; export a CSV if you need a longer record. Undo remains available after cancelling Pro while the change is in saved history.
A write timed out. Should I try again?
Check History & undo first. If the app offers a status check or reconciliation, use it to establish whether Shopify saved the change before making another edit. Avoid changing the same image in another tab while an update runs.
What do storefront checks cover?
Each requested scan checks up to eight pages. The app keeps the latest 10 reports and offers report downloads. Pro can scan a password-protected storefront when you provide its password. Scans run on demand; scheduled monitoring and theme repairs are not included.
Why might a scan fail?
Confirm the storefront address opens in your browser. Public scans need public pages; password-protected stores need the Pro app flow. Sites can block automated access. If you hit a scan limit, wait before retrying. An automated scan cannot confirm complete accessibility conformance.
How do I cancel?
Open Velora in Shopify admin and use Help & billing to manage your plan. Uninstalling stops future app subscription charges according to Shopify billing rules. Descriptions already saved in Shopify remain there. Cancellation does not promise a refund for an existing billing period.
